Overview
Corporate Carbon is a pioneering climate solutions provider, with close to 90 long-term projects across Australia in carbon farming, fire management, land use, and innovation. When their core project management system, Cecil, announced its end of life, the team faced an urgent need to migrate fast, before risking disruption to critical data and operations.
What began as a race against time quickly became a strategic opportunity. In researching alternatives, Corporate Carbon discovered that monday.com could do more than just replace Cecil - it could consolidate multiple systems, streamline processes, and improve collaboration across a 50+ person, multi-entity operation.
To bring this vision to life, they partnered with GACO - a certified monday.com partner with deep expertise in digital transformation for complex service businesses.
Challenge
When Cecil - Corporate Carbon’s core industry data tool and source of truth - announced its end of life, the Capability Support Team was forced to act quickly to minimise disruption. But rather than simply replacing one platform, Corporate Carbon saw an opportunity to consolidate three systems into one, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and empower internal teams.
We had a clock ticking. We realised the challenge wasn’t just replacing Cecil - it was rethinking how we work and how we can set ourselves up for future successes.

Solution
While the initial focus was on project management, the flexibility of monday.com allowed Corporate Carbon to onboard additional functions - including CRM, HR, and marketing operations - turning an urgent system migration into a company-wide transformation.
GACO delivered a 12-week transformation project that brought monday.com to life across Corporate Carbon. The process unfolded in two structured phases:
Phase 1: Discovery and Design (6 Weeks)
- Conducted three workshops with cross-functional teams
- Delivered a detailed Solution Design Document
- Planned integration across seven departments
Phase 2: Implementation and Hypercare (6 Weeks + 30 Days Support)
- Configured multiple sales pipelines and core operational boards
- Migrated data from four legacy systems
- Provided hands-on training, Lunch & Learn sessions, and tailored support
The Corporate Carbon Managing Director’s active involvement in platform selection and design reinforced the organisation’s commitment to long-term operational excellence. As a result, despite operating across different time zones - from Australia to Africa and South America - the rollout was smooth and completed on schedule.
The project was a textbook example of what happens when strategy, design, and trust align. Corporate Carbon brought clarity and commitment - we delivered the strategy and technical skills to match.
